RSSTHE ALEX LOWE DOUBLE ACT
The Alex Lowe Double-Act is a brand new audience comedy for Radio 2 that finally gives the eponymous star his own vehicle in which to shine. Alex presents the show alongside his new big-name double-act partner for the night who, as well as co-hosting, also appears in sketches alongside Alex and his regular team of supporting actors.
It is devised with Ashley Blaker, the producer and creator of the new Matt Lucas series for Radio 2 - he was also the original producer of Little Britain.
Each episode of The Alex Lowe Double-Act features stand-alone sketches returning characters, monologues, mock behind-the-scenes segments and other running comedy features. There are also 'presented' segments at the top, middle and end, in which Alex and his guest partner perform as themselves, addressing the audience directly in double-act mode.
